"Girls Can Rock" seem to say the 4, who made themselves known with the rockish "Take It Off" from the album "Spend The Night". Unfortunately, they are unknown to most, and it's a real shame, because these 4 make real rock'n'roll, the kind that kicks ass!
This album is a tad slower and calmer compared to the others, with some nice bass intros and, overall, quite catchy. Unlike the previous album, there isn't a particularly outstanding song here: they are all average, with many highs and few lows. Sure, "Is That All You've Got For Me" is really good, as is "I Don't Want To Know" and these stand out among the others.
Great guitar riffs that feel very rock'n'roll and even the solos aren't bad.
Overall, the album has tracks that start off slow and then explode in choruses meant to be sung at the top of your lungs while bouncing around the room! There's no drop in tension, no song that makes you say, "how boring, I'll skip to another". The more you listen to it, the more you want to keep listening, and the guitarist does her job with riffs and solos that are nothing short of amazing! The singer's beautiful voice completes it all!
The cover, as you can see, is really beautiful! One last piece of advice: go see them live, they are a spectacle!
Beautiful album, complete with no drop in tension. Real rock'n'roll; a must-have!
