An obscure proto-punk power trio from Lansing (near Detroit) later adopted by the Los Angeles scene. Members named in reviews: Loren (vocals/guitar), Mary (bass), Ron (drums). Active in the mid-late 1970s, they released a pair of 7" singles and appear on compilations; Fed Up compiles studio and live recordings.

Appeared on the Rhino compilation 'Saturday Night Pogo' (1978). 'Slash Your Face' featured on the first volume of 'Killed By Death'. The Fed Up compilation was issued by Dionysus in 2000.

A positive, admiring review of The Dogs' Fed Up compilation. The band is described as a late-1970s proto-punk power trio from Lansing with strong Stooges/MC5 influences. Fed Up collects studio and live tracks and is recommended for fans of raw rock'n'roll and early punk progenitors.

For:Fans of proto-punk, garage rock and collectors of obscure 1970s punk-era singles.

«It came from Detroit» ... Paraphrase of the famous «It came from Memphis» by Robert Gordon, which perfectly suits the Dogs, an obscure proto-punk band originally from Lansing, near Detroit, but soon adopted by the Los Angeles scene.
