LA RECENSIONE

The rock of the Departure is energetic and biting, clear and immaculate as if filtered from every impurity.
Music as pure as ice-cold and clear spring water, seemingly originating naturally. An obsessive pursuit of formal purity that, beyond the music, is evident in every outward attitude of the band (videos, covers, look...).
The influences are very respectable: Joy Division, Interpol, Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, early U2 (the intro of Lump In My Throat strongly echoes "Boy.")

That said, with this album, the Departure shows all their cards and potential, but gives the impression of having many resources not yet fully expressed or even hidden (this is happening more and more often), suggesting they could grow and at that point become a solid reference point for the entire global music scene.
