A delightful group of possessed Danes, the Defectors are one of the skeletons that came out of the Bad Afro's closet, as well as being among the best representatives of the current horror-fuzz scene.

Their sound is garage punk of the fiercest kind (think Fuzztones and their lethal company), updated with a carefully crafted and powerful production, where the keyboards perfectly stand out with their b-movie high notes and the basses are like pneumatic drills.

Surrounded by the singer's hoarse and terrifying screams, the tracks on "Bruised And Satisfied" are rock'n'roll gems as violent as they are enjoyable, starting with "Creepy Crawl", revisited macabre garage-surf, and "Dancing Ghouls", a powerful horror "ballad" filled with keyboards affected as if in an "UFO invasion," leading up to the slightly more conventional r'n'r of "You Better" or "Baby When You’re Gone".

Ultimately recommended for those who discovered the horror-garage sound thanks to the new blood (The Horrors), for nostalgics who sleep with Children Of The Nuggets under the pillow, for serial killers, the undead, and aliens hiding among us in disguise.
