LA RECENSIONE

The Decapitated Midgets are Finnish and took inspiration for their monicker from a track by Regurgitate, so why not dive into another fantastic goregrind review? They've been active from 2008 to 2015 and have released three albums. This "30 Ways To Die" is their second album from 2009, consisting of 30 tracks with a duration of 32 minutes. They heavily draw from splatter and gore themes, with titles like: "Splattered In A Car Crash," "Explosive Menstruation," "Brainburger With Slashed Fingers," "Dramatic Decapitation and Gore Shower," "Gore-Tex Killer," "Bloody Rectum / Bloody Diarrhea" that clearly demonstrate their style. Musically, they are very reminiscent of Regurgitate with tracks blasting at a thousand miles per hour, blast beats chasing each other like a genuine marathon of the grotesque and horror, and that sink-draining voice with truly phenomenal skills. The riffs range from the purest, most uncompromising goregrind to tracks with a slower, doomy vibe and a cut that borders on hardcore punk, which entertains and encourages the listener to mosh along with this "30 Ways To Die." Absolutely recommended for those who enjoy goofing around and having the utmost fun in a repulsive genre like goregrind, I highly recommend this album, you will surely be captivated as I was. It's also brilliant to use the album cover as a page of a fake daily newspaper where absolutely fictional crime tales occur. An album to rediscover.
