I'm back to writing a review on this fabulous music portal after years (maybe). DeBaser, there's really nothing you can do, it is and will remain unique, beyond all the "new" obscenities introduced to entertain us (don't hold it against me dear editors).

I have a certain nostalgia for arguments.
I have a certain nostalgia for the insults received.
I have a certain nostalgia for the insults given.

DeBaser is all of us indiscriminately with our backs against the wall and the rifle pointed at us when it comes to musical tastes and... album covers.
Music is also the cover... I will avoid banal and boring historical references.

It is precisely an excerpt from the review by our friend Jdv666 (specifically the review of the album "Dead Magick") that lit the fuse from which my usual ramble of words will ignite:

cit. Jdv666

... upon further thought, it is exactly the badassery of the two covers in question that gives me the "strength" to review again...

The album I am about to review can be downloaded for free from the following link (it's about "Alternative or rather Alternated Stuff").
Let's forget Bowie and the stardust of the bygone years, let's forget the glorious lunar landings and futuristic space journeys.
Let's disregard the limelight of Hawkwind and not disturb the centuries of music left to us.
Let's avoid involving SunRa who would shit himself with fear.
Let's leave in peace the aliens that once were to welcome the new (alien but I would say rather alienating) generation of computerized tinkerers.

Synths, drums, sinuous bass, few words (present only in "The Spaceman") some filthy guitar strumming and the feeling that aliens will kick our ass.

I would define the sound of the album "Psychonaut" as a kind of mantric garage (tracks averaging 8 minutes) with a taste of blood.

The pressing sheets of synth and bass from the "Cosmic Dead" remind me of the best Warlocks, with that extra grime and ectoplasmic nastiness.

The Cosmic Dead, the lineup:

- James T McKay - Guitar
- Omar Aborida - Bass
- Julian Dicken - Drums
- Lewis Cook - Synths

The darkness, the cold, and that damn humidity that rots all of Glasgow of our heroes across 10 tracks:

1. Lavinia (Mother ov Mystery) 10:12
2. The Spaceman 08:38
3. Eyes in The Mountains 06:19
4. Inner Circle 05:13
5. Adimite Obscuritatem 03:07
6. Serpent Coils The Earth 09:36
7. Astral Curvature 07:02
8. Psych Ashtray Aktion Mother 17:56
9. Fool & The Five of Swords 08:01
10. Psych Ashtray Aktion Mother II 11:25

How's that drum going!
