The Clientele, with this third work, introduce themselves to the public through their taste for that retro and somewhat old-fashioned pop, embracing diverse influences: from the Velvet Underground to Television, from the Byrds to the more recent Belle & Sebastian; and the beauty of this band is that, despite their work being a kind of rearrangement of already heard and appreciated guitars, everything is entirely reimagined in a personal way by The Clientele. The guitars are sometimes accompanied by strings, forming a melody that is simple but original and above all evocative.
It is precisely the great atmosphere that The Clientele manages to evoke that is their great strength. Like in a dream, you can imagine the wet and dark streets of that England that hosts the band members. From the fast and speeding chords of "Since K Got Over Me" to the pauses and rhythm of "E.M.P.T.Y", up to the tranquility and reflectiveness of "Spirit". All of this is expressed under the same creative vein of The Clientele, characterized by disarming immediacy, by refined, highly technical, and professional arrangement work.

Album recommended because it is capable of making you think, of evoking, but above all, very enjoyable to listen to just for the pleasure of hearing something refined and unique.
