The release of this record was announced by Anton during the presentation of 'Third World Pyramid' (A Recordings) at the end of 2016. Although there are substantial differences between the two albums, they were conceived and produced in the same period. However, it should be noted that Anton is a very prolific artist filled with creativity, focused full-time on his work without interference and disturbances that now seem under control. A new balance, achieved also thanks to stability on the affective and emotional level and by stopping any abuse of drugs and alcohol, which means in his case also greater confidence in his abilities.

If 'Third World Pyramid' was a fundamentally political album, 'Don't Get Lost' was described by Newcombe himself as a kind of revelation, a lightning bolt that crossed his brain from one side to the other. The hallucinatory vision of a UFO. Clearly inspired by the kosmische musik of the seventies and touchstones like Primal Scream and Public Image Limited, saxophonist and composer Ornette Coleman, 'Don't Get Lost' is characterized overall by an obsessive and hypnotic psychedelia typical of kraut-rock and loaded with a groove typical of the PIL sound and Jah Wobble's bass ('Open Minds Now Close', the instrumental session of 'Melodys Actual Echo Chamber', the no-wave of 'Geldenes Herz Menz', the acid techno of 'Acid 2 Me Is No Worse Than War'...) and where some ideas already proposed in 'Musique de film imaginé' are revisited: suggestive samples ('Charmed I'm Sure', 'Ich Bin Klang' has the same Spiritualized emotional load as 'Felt Tipped-Pen Pictures of UFOs') and minimalist ambient soundscapes ('One Slow Breath', accompanied by the voice of poet and actor Shaun Rivers). The morriconian and Stan Ridgway western settings of 'Fact 67'.

The rest of the album aligns with the sounds we can consider most typical of the band from 'Revelation' (2014) onwards: 'Resist Much Obey Little', 'Groove Is In The Heart' and the irresistible 'Throbbing Gristle' and 'Dropping Bombs on the Sun' (sung by Tess Parks), 'Nothing New To Trash Like You' (sung by Tim Burges). 'UFO Paycheck' is filled with the mystic brightness of 'Aufebhen'.

A varied and complex work that Anton largely conceived and recorded alone in his lair, the Cobra Studio in Berlin. Other BJM members also participated in the recording sessions such as the essential Ricky Maymi, Dan Allaire, Collin Hegna, and Ryan Van Kriedt (Asteroid No. 4, Dead Skeletons) and other artists and musicians like the aforementioned Tim Burgess, Tess Parks, and Shaun Rivers, besides saxophonist Pete Fraser (The Pogues) and Emil Nikolaisen of Serena-Maneesh. Nevertheless, it is increasingly evident that the BJM project is something founded on the unique personality of Anton Newcombe, an author who in recent years has been repeating the same creative verve of the nineties, replacing that youthful rage and ardor with a determined and serene attitude, leading him to realize exactly what he intends to do with naturalness and awareness.
