The TFT are a duo, James Islip on the drums, Andy Abbott on the baritone guitar. These few pieces of information are enough, for some, to guess the musical genre, which is noisy cacophony akin to Lightning Bolt.

However, the two British musicians don't quite play like that; in fact, they seem to have ingested excessive doses of Battles and Don Caballero to arrive at the synthesis of a track like "Evan Dido", two minutes and a bit of groping around the post and hard rock area (not to seem like an insult to juxtapose them). "Tanknology" is pure divertissement, with almost all pieces bearing the warped names of musicians, so "John Faheyshanu" is the only acoustic track, "Bruce Springstonehenge" has the main riff of "Dancing In The Dark", "Dave Grolsch" shuttles between the Melvins and math rock, "Stephen Hawkwind" redoes Van Halen as if they debuted today.

It’s not particularly innovative music, but it has the merit of not being overly serious and represents the result of a quirky addition: 70s riffs + 90s drumming = That Fucking Tank.
