The blue note that becomes pathological, a similar thing was also done by the cows, but compared to the cakes presented here, that of Shannon and company could be considered chamber music; active and crawling in the dark between the eighties and nineties, Terminal Cheesecake are probably among the best forays of certain experimental music I have heard; third record, year nineteen ninety, they disbanded four years later and have recently regrouped with the voice of Gnod; the first exquisite and not kindly records remain among the most abrasive noise I remember, among piercing distortions, sense of tragedy, suspense in spasms where moments of peace are only post-apocalyptic visions in which the music becomes more percussive; rock, industrial, noise, all sound movements converge at a point occasionally passing from atmospheric moments and often from the worst cacophonies bringing to extreme consequences the acid rock stance of the guitar; a research that leads to hyper-psychedelic deliriums, music that layers noise on rhythm, the piercing distortions elevate from rock to industrial rituals, white noise that sounds like a mantra, sound walls that taint the pieces in execution, dragging melodies like the memory of better times.
As for advice, there could be the bruised space rock of pony boy which reminds both Acid Mothers and Hawkwind and a fantastic cover of The Residents; for certain tracks it makes no sense to seek a verbal form, but the atmospheres are always vaguely perverse, the voice expresses itself without using singing and sometimes one hears pure avant-garde; the game is subtle between the riff and the sound, these are torrential, terminal melodies, a delightful heart-pounding experience.
for instance, over the years they have shown themselves to be much more palatable, among things there is also a Peel session and on subsequent records it is possible to hear dub, electronics and vague world music, but the style remains quite hallucinated and in this sense never too far from this angelic record; I would say I would recommend a slice of Terminal Cheesecake to everyone, a joyful auditory picnic for smiling tinnitus,
