Sunk into the couch, dim light and cheap brandy; even electronic music has its “Old Testament”, its parables. Cosmology of the human being in four movements; primordial broth; cello embers lash icy synthesizers, funeral organ chords warm under the light of an eternal vibraphone. Electronic magma and existential minimalism. I too have my “Old Testament”; sunk into the couch I rediscover it, sunk into the couch I let myself go. What did Baudelaire say?: “…deep couches like tombs…”.
First Movement.
The Universe is dark, at least as much as I am. Creeping and cunning shadows that we cannot shake off; only lights: those of the past, those we only remember, those we do not live, those of our lost illusions.
Second Movement.
The Universe is indifferent, at least as much as I am. Nothing worth more than a blink of an eye, a rotation on its own axis. Everything inexorably follows its course; after all, there is nothing to worry about: one day, perhaps, we will be free.
Third Movement.
Yet the Universe is also restless, at least as much as I am. The spasmodic beating of our hearts, the cold sweats that catch us off guard. Sudden eruptions of volcanoes we believed extinct remind us that we are alive; that our smallness is redeemed by our emotions.
Fourth Movement.
And yet the Universe still hopes, at least as much as I do. What exactly we hope for is hard to say; yet in privileged moments, in unexpected astral alignments, everything seems still possible, everything…
…Even believing in the Fourth Movement.

"Time doesn’t matter here; there is only the listener, the music (which in this case is synonymous with life, almost breathable)."
"Zeit represents the darkest peak of Tangerine Dream, the yet unexplored and completely unraveled pinnacle of their discography."

Electronic circuits generate frequency waveforms, the electromagnetic tensor field, and the wave phenomenon release energy translated into sounds.
The humanization of machines, the mechanization of the human being.

"Zeit is a genuine electronic 'trip' without melody, very minimal, that hypnotizes for its entire duration and from which one wouldn’t want to detach."
"Few albums like 'Zeit' have marked a turning point in the history of 20th-century electronic music, setting new parameters."

It is a double LP of electronic music with a stunning cover both externally and internally that immediately projects us towards the sounds of galaxies.
Dark and challenging music, but with immense charm, ethereal moments that exude intangibility.
