Finally, the first review! After overcoming my shyness, I am finally expressing my opinion on the album of one of my favorite bands, the legendary Tangerine Dream!

The album I'm reviewing today is "LiveMiles," a live album, recorded during the "Blue Years" period, a name given due to the color of the record label with which Tangerine Dream worked from 1984 to 1988, Jive Records, a wonderful period in which they produced beautiful works like "Poland" and "Underwater Sunlight."

The album is divided into two suites, respectively 29 and 27 minutes long, one recorded on June 8, 1986, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the other recorded in West Berlin on August 1, 1987, the latter remixed in the studio.

Both suites open with calm, almost mysterious moments, then quickly move into more rhythmic parts, giving the listener a sense of chase, then allowing us to catch our breath (if we want to immerse ourselves even more in the melodies) by returning to the aforementioned calm moments, which transport us to enchanted landscapes and distract us from everything around us, as is customary when listening to the tracks of this renowned group, whose albums serve as an entryway to another dimension. In the final parts of the two pieces, the rhythm returns to unleash, inviting us to join it, before slowly disappearing, bringing us back to reality.

A record that struck me significantly, despite the absence of the spatial sounds of the early albums, which Tangerine Dream completely abandoned from the 1980s onwards. However, the more "concrete" sounds of these albums are still appreciable, and I consider them a good starting point for those who are not yet ready to dive into their early, very experimental works.

I also recommend listening to the original recording of the West Berlin concert, with excellent sound quality, available online in the "Tangerine Tree" series, a myriad of bootlegs documenting this group's incredible concert abilities.
