LA RECENSIONE

Seven Years in Tibet, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Last Emperor, Ashanti and Christian Dior, all mixed together. The result? East of Eden, a Northern European album, leaning towards the East, towards mysticism. Yes, straight bass drum, but slow; yes, Scandinavian melodies, but with guitars that, with splashes of Arabia, create a short circuit, depressed, yes, but with Nesquik.

Taken by Trees, beautiful like a goddess, depressed like the desert of the Tartars, Taken by Trees, the shadow of Perro del Mar, same culture, different attitudes, Taken by Trees. Say it again, Taken by Trees. From Open Field, a bucolic album to this East of Eden, a spiritual-depressed album.

Electro-acoustic colors on evanescent minimal harmonies - a swampy melodic pop and yet breezes, light vocal breezes simulate freshness in ideas.

I liked it, but I admit it’s for enthusiasts of the genre.

Catchy and simple melodies and arrangements accompany you on the edge of the subway platform, they tell you if you jump you won't fall, don’t worry...
