If I could compare Syria to a month of the year, I would definitely compare her to April, clear and serene, with her voice that timidly hints at her stories, all of this evokes sweetness.
Syria is a singer who has her uniqueness in our local pop; she manages to convey elegance and brightness through her songs.
After various participations in the Sanremo festival and with four albums to her credit, the Roman artist, in my opinion, creates her most beautiful album "Le mie favole", which maintains a style similar to the previous ones but has an extra gear, due to the singer's greater experience. Everything is there, the addiction to love and the desire for independence in the tracks "Mi consumi" and "Essere te", the need to be with the loved one, leveraging joy to not get discouraged, as evident in the track "Se tu non sei con me", the decision to let slip something that cannot be grasped as in the song "E' meglio", even the need to give affection to those closest to you, which is ultimately what fuels life, as found in "Lettera ad alice". This work truly moved me greatly, for the simple fact that sometimes measuring oneself against everyday life and its small stories can stir something of great worth, always considering the right sense of measure. The merit of this album is that it makes you participate in what is described, makes you feel as if what Syria perceives is ours as well, and if it’s true that music conveys sensations, surely this album makes one remember sunny afternoons and blue skies.
All in all, a good example of Italian pop, with all the advantages of the category it belongs to, good melody, and song form, all enhanced by Syria's voice, which, as mentioned above, is almost unique in our pop.
