THE REVIEW

HELLO GUYS!

This is my first review... I am a fan of Britpop and Alternative Rock, I really admire GrantNicholas and Principles but there's a missing review of a masterpiece from recent months: the latest from Super Furry Animals, titled "Dark Days/Light Years".

The album opens with a rock à la Prince: "Crazy Naked Girls", 6 minutes of falsetto and guitar riffs, ending in a Lenny Kravitz style. The second track, "Mountain", has the only flaw of being a bit repetitive, but it's still very catchy. Then comes "Moped Eyes", a track from the Hey Venus era, typically Superfurryanimals-esque. Next is the first single "Inaugural Trams", a duet with Nick McCarthy from Franz Ferdinand.

Moving forward, the album transitions from the psychedelia of eight minutes with "Cardiff In The Sun", the Oasis-like "Inconvenience", the oriental-tinged "The Very Best Of Neil Diamond", and you reach the gems. The new Justaposed With You, titled "Helium Hearts", the rocking "White Socks/Flip Flops", with Beatles-like choruses, then the twin tracks "Where Do You Wanna Go" and "Lliwiau Llachar" and the very psychedelic "Pric", six minutes of music plus three of synthesizer play.

As usual, the music is delightful, accompanied by a very colorful booklet... and a stunningly beautiful cover!

Their best work remains "Radiator", but this is still beautiful... the only misstep in their career was "Phantom Power," a boring and soporific work!

I hope GrantNicholas and Principles compliment me... I've discovered many Brit groups thanks to them...

Until next time!
