LA RECENSIONE

A few months apart, a few years ago, Sunn O))) released "Life Metal" and then this sibling album "Pyroclasts," born from those recording sessions.
We're talking about four improvisations each based on a different single note.

Four notes, yes, but millions of nuances.

The meditative trance and teleportation.

There you are, alone, inside Mount Doom, and you've just destroyed the Ring.
Surrounded by the whirlwind made of lava and smoke, which seems to be traveling at incredible speeds from the outside but actually moves slowly and rhythmically from the inside.
The smoke isn't black and oppressive as it used to be. This time it's colorful and smells of jubilation, of purification.

Those who know these gentlemen well will notice something different in their approach to these compositions, more Ambient than Metal.

Z - O))) - T ? Hmm.
