Days that spread their essence in a mortar gray sky almost as if they wanted to emphasize the supremacy of a melancholy that knows no seasons, but stirs its negative pathos precisely in these moments of uncertain, cloudy, apathetic, misanthropic weather. Thank goodness for music, a fantastic vehicle for excursions into forgotten dreams and other unknown mental planets, a blank slate to imagine and reinterpret dimensions more akin to a mood balance that we wish was always at the highest levels.
It takes little to create a personal microcosm, where you can happily and gently splash around, forgetting the narrow loops of a monotonous, pressing, stressful everyday life, and for many lacking the slightest input to say "damn life is beautiful and I can't wait for tomorrow to enjoy all the facets and tiny details of this indecipherable, but certainly interesting and attractive existence"...
Aside from badass thoughts, in these stormy days I felt the desire to bring a bit of sunlight into my dark room, bare of everything, white and gray like a dead man forgotten for weeks... smell not included :)

1990, a handful of psychedelia-obsessed people from the '60s debut with a strongly "Barrett Floydian" work, electric folk seasoned with wah-wah and prog fillings, accessible psychedelic mantras for everyone, but not for that reason predictable or aimed at mass consumption, quite the opposite conceptually and musically because despite the (not even too much to be honest) sonic entanglement of these psychedelic gems, the choruses, the voice, and the choirs can fascinate (at least I think) all the races of music lovers, those who make music with the heart and not with the ass. The Sun Dial offer in their first album released by ufo records, an exquisite blend of lysergic expansions, supported by a psych-folk-rock-prog that engages the entire auditory and cerebral apparatus, an album that strikes on the first listening and gradually reveals its oneiric and spatial charm. In these lands, you won't find anything "heavy," but I assure you that the acid guitar explosions accompanying this countryside trip will dazzle you and make you feel happy, lost in a lush desolate meadow, full of bongs, love, and good vibes, doped of course :). The merry pranksters bus is ready to depart towards the lands you prefer, oneiric expansion, trip, journey to the toyland, hear ye hear ye the lysergic warmth knows no seasons, envelops and enchants the mind and takes it wherever you want, just let yourself go... you'll find everything and more; don't say that Roky recommended this record to you, they might find out about me :))).

What a wonder, the late '80s Hammond has the same charge as in the golden times here, and it makes me levitate like a shaman high on acid, "Exploding In Your Mind", the second track, makes me realize I can't give up on this journey, it must be lived to the end, my ears are swirling in hyperspace with them!!!! Wah Wah, yesss, submerge me with that iridescent effect, it pervades my entire brain, pushes it towards absolute orgasm, take me with you, bastard aliens, you've hit my nerve centers right on, what crazy acid solos friends :))))))))
The third chapter starts with a folksy guitar and a flute that will soon cause frenzy in your minds, okay the voice starts, the flanger and wah-wah kill me, what mastery, what taste, float with me in a psych-pop that must be nourished with pipes 500 feet tall (500ft of pipe I know!), but even sober is fine, just let your mind go to the rhythm of psychedelic slashes. This album is magnificent, I'd gift it to you if I could :) (not easy to find now, at least I think). Damn! Not the 4 from my wife, eh, the track "She's Looking All Around" will be the total immersion in this fantastic world, all the psych delights will be gifted to you by the shovelful, you won't complain anymore if there's a lack of fuzz or wah-wah, everything is perfect here, if you want to dream with your eyes open without getting bored, this album is for you, I'm done.
If you don't look for it, or you don't give a damn, it's your loss, I've warned you....... haloah, jayhyah :))))))))))
