THE REVIEW

The Sum 41 return to the scene with a third album, "Does This Look Infected?", following "Half Hour Of Power" and "All Killer No Filler", continuing to distinguish themselves with their fast-paced punk rock, significantly evolved since their debut.

Overall, this album is very satisfying, featuring energetic and catchy tracks, including "Over My Head" and "Still Waiting", which I consider the best, but also "No Brains", "Hyper-Insomnia", "Mr.Amsterdam", and "Thanks For Nothing". It dips a bit in quality with "Asshole", twenty seconds of chords and screams... Also "Hooch" isn't great, too monotonous and confusing. Despite these two songs, the rest of the album is excellent and varied. This result is also achieved thanks to the chemistry between the two guitars and the variability of the drums, in fact, I think the drummer is the most valuable component of the band.

I wrote this review to counter the general opinion of Sum 41, considered the typical preppy pseudo-punk band, while the themes of their songs are very serious and full of meaning (just remember Still Waiting and Over My Head). I recommend this record to all fans of modern punk rock and I look forward to your suggestions, your comments, and your criticisms...

It sounds like listening to the same song repeated several times with different keys.

I do not recommend spending money on this LP; maybe borrow it or ask Emule for help.

The Hell Song, where guitar riffs paired with a phenomenal chorus have a simply grand effect.

Forty minutes of Power, to stay on theme.
