Behind the anime directed for Studio Trigger by Hiroyuki Imaishi in collaboration with Hiromi Wakabayashi, and written by Masahiko Otsuka and Yoshiki Usa from an idea by Rafal Jaki, we don't find a particularly complex narrative nor one that pertains to the more philosophical nuances of Cyberpunk.

If you're not punks, if you've only played the game and have never watched an anime, it's unlikely you'll have enjoyed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The series is short, yet despite that. I didn't watch it as a binge-watcher. Overall, it doesn't last long, but every time I watched it. After the death of some character, I would stop after watching the episode and reflect. There's nothing decayed in a glorious death, dying is merely a sacrifice that leads us to abandon our soul. The protagonist has nothing to lose, and that's why he wants to become a cyberpunk. He feels no fear, no pain, a living legend in sum. From start to finish, the work keeps you informed of the dangers you might encounter. And it's not uncommon for someone to bite the dust. But in the end, the protagonist proves to be special. And we don't know what might happen if there will be a sequel.
