A raw, essential, powerful live filled with feeling, as only true blues can be.
That kind of blues created by the most classic triad that nature can recreate: guitar, bass, and drums, where rock influences are felt and the total fusion makes it a delicacy for the ears of anyone who loves good music, the kind played "blood, sweat, and tears" paraphrasing SRV himself. This live performance features the "guitar hurricane" with his Double Trouble in the early phase of his career, before becoming famous, before contracts with major record labels, before being remembered (although he already was) as one of the masters of the Stratocaster rock-blues... basically before becoming SRV. I think I've already said it all! Those who love this genre will surely know it already, while those who are approaching blues or SRV must absolutely not miss it. It is then up to the individual to make the very respectable de-gustibus-ian decision to listen to it until the end and consider it excellent work, or to throw it straight out the window into the bin below. The last guitarist of a generation that, starting from Jimi Hendrix, managed to forge passion around the six strings, with blues stripped of academic technique and made primarily of heart. I won't tell you details about the concert, the pieces of the tracklist, and everything else, discover them for yourselves, and, believe me, if you have never had the pleasure of listening to it, you cannot miss it.
Found almost by chance on the shelves of my favorite CD store, I was immediately struck by it, even though the cover isn't much. There's also a DVD, if I'm not mistaken, I haven't seen it yet, but I have no doubts about it... It's always the best that go away.
