Opening the Bandcamp homepage one day and finding a session dedicated to Italian prog generated mixed feelings in me: on one hand, the restlessness and curiosity to encounter something akin to my present, on the other, the need to traverse electric plains riding recycled epicness. The endeavor, fortunately, is quick and painless; I linger briefly, hop mercilessly from album to album with no possibility of return, a game that can only be played in the abundance of products and with the baggage of experience.

The ways of the Lord are infinite, someone once said, mine are not, so I gather what I encounter and thank. Sterbus, in this case, which like an anomaly is out of place, or almost: pop, rock, prog, Beatles, Xtc, Cardiacs. The latter, it seems, are an unhealthy passion for Sterbus.

Surprisingly, typing his name on Debaser didn't show any artists, but a user, who is evidently the artist himself. A singular case, I would say, almost like releasing a double LP in 2018.

I hope someone one day writes a review of Real Estate/Fake Inverno and that Sterbus reappears among us so that I can thank him personally.

Forgive me, gentlemen, for this brief and inadequate dedication, which, to music, my words no longer serve.
