THE REVIEW

Here I will summarize as much as possible, quickly describing the tracks of the album.

After an environmental introduction, where it feels like being at a circus, "Bien Venidos", suddenly a burst of anger: "Get To The Gone", which seems to promise an album of high quality, and meanwhile, we're already moving forward with "Permanence", which, in my opinion, has nothing to envy to the previous track, it's truly tasty and appetizing.

But the real surprise of the album is "Black and White", a white star, but at the same time it's also black. This is a way to say, when something is "absolute", and so I say it is absolutely the pinnacle song of this machine, which does not lose power thanks also to the mad "This Is Not" filled with hate. One would think the anger had already been exhausted hearing the beginning of "Otsego Undead", but shortly after, it proves to be equally pissed off. We end the first part of the record with the melancholy song of the moment: "Cold", which, however, didn't convey the cold it seemed to promise, but still sufficiently engaging to be included in the soundtrack of "Queen of the Damned". The second part makes me hopeful with "Structural Defect", which I really liked a lot, but unfortunately, the charm of the structural defect soon fades when you find out it needs to be repaired, and that it takes money to do so, but instead, we only have "...In A Bag", that is, crap in the bag, and indeed it's a song I didn't really like, aside from some parts after the middle that are redeeming.

Well, "Burn To Burn", burn to burn, it's obvious, predictable, it's even worse than the crap in the bag... And after two somewhat disappointing tracks, finally comes the title track "Machine", which does not disappoint at all, in fact, it’s very nice, although inferior compared to the first three songs. It ends somewhat poorly with "A Dios Alma Perdida", it's true that it's just an instrumental, obviously placed as a filler, but I would have skipped it, it lowers the positive judgment I have of the album. If it weren't for the crap in the bag, the burn to burn, and the finale, I would have given it five stars.

Nevertheless, it remains to be said that the album, although inferior to the first, remains a very good album, and as always the best songs are at the beginning: it's a classic of Static-X.

Although some later tracks like "...In A Bag" and "Burn To Burn" disappoint, the album remains strong overall, showcasing Static-X's classic industrial metal style.
