THE REVIEW

Have you ever made sourdough for bread, pizza, and sweets? Sourdough is made with water, flour, and honey mixed together in a glass and left to ferment in a cool and dry place.

For the first two days, I assure you, you'll incredulously check every hour to see what's happening, and then you'll go knead it all together. There are three emotions: the first is seeing the loaf rise, the second is baking it, and then, of course, eating it. Essential, just like in a "blob", is to take a piece of the dough that can be used over and over for a long, long time. After gaining six or seven kilos, you'll start buying bread from the bakery.

Have you ever had a long-distance relationship? Long-distance relationships are simple, made of phone calls, emails, and exchanges of audio-visual material. Seemingly simple and harmless like naturally leavened bread, they grow and grow, fueled by a thousand streams of feelings and emotions until they become concrete and devastating. After consuming that burning desire, you'll need months or years of long reflections about yourself. This album arrived directly from Berlin in 2004, along with many other books, CDs, and DVDs.

Have you ever listened to "From here on in"? "From here on in", from a musical point of view, is like sourdough and long-distance relationships, seemingly easy-peasy but a real "blob" of emotions and sounds that layer and with each listening become increasingly satisfying. "From here on in" didn't get the success it deserved due to strange twists of fate. Today it can be easily found on YouTube, but you don’t have the modern and essential cardboard cover! As for side effects, this album holds a romance and sweetness you can't do without afterward.

Not being able to give you a piece of my bread, I give you a piece of myself. I'm damn happy because, like a "blob", this album will (cyclically) become a necessity, like the first piece of bread or the first time you make love to a precious person, it will stick to you full of promises.

Simple, simple ballads that warm the heart like in a nest full of love.
