Let's get this straight: I know the Soundsick personally, and I think they are one of the best Italian bands around. If you're looking for total impartiality, you won't find it here.

Art is the Mirror of the Universe (2011) is a self-produced EP, there are four songs that serve as an ideal introduction to the music and ideas of Soundsick. I made a mistake of playing it while jotting down these words: sitting in a chair, I'm trying to write despite being restless like a fool under the force of the music; once "Lonelyness" started, I had to stop the pencil, impossible to continue. "Candy's and Cum" (some say it's the worst title ever chosen) is giving me no respite, and more than anything, I'm forcing myself to write despite the bullet-like assault on my muscles. I'm masochistic, I start it over.

"Lena (Naked Woman)" is an ideal instrumental to start with, you don't start off at 1000, but at 900. There's still time to breathe, which won't be the case later on. Next is "Ch3Ch2Oh" (hooray for the titles) and you'll understand for yourself, Soundsick are destined for a bright future. I could start talking again about "Lonelyness" and "Candy's and Cum", and then the EP from the top, I realize I haven't said, described much, but I can't help it, the storm prevents me from being rational now, to analyze, even though it deserves it.

"Art is the Mirror of the Universe" is a constant surge of energy, a not-so-bad vicious circle that I recommend you enter, while waiting for the first album.
