The Profile

Soulwax is a Belgian band from Ghent led by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele. They emerged in the 1990s with indie rock before embracing an electronic, dance-punk edge with Any Minute Now and the club-focused Nite Versions. The Dewaele brothers are also known for their DJ/remix work as 2manydjs.

Core members: David and Stephen Dewaele (Ghent, Belgium). Early albums: Leave the Story Untold (1996), Much Against Everyone’s Advice (1998). Electronic pivot: Any Minute Now (2004), reimagined on Nite Versions (2005). Worked with Flood and Alan Moulder on Any Minute Now. Prolific remixers and performers as 2manydjs. Later releases include Belgica: Original Soundtrack (2016) and From Deewee (2017).
