The healthy punk principles are hard to die and often unity is strength. The two bands featured here join their energies in a record where two different ways of interpreting punk rock stand out, albeit anchored to the sounds typical of true street-punk 77.
The Parmese Solecismi Pedestri kick off the dance with their sound sung in Italian, offering four protest songs. It starts with "Sulla stessa barca" dedicated to their city, not forgetting a no to war with "Diritti inumani". The tracks feature simple and direct songwriting, very frenetic and melodies that immediately stick in your head.
From Turin come the Killdaddies whose style is centered on the English language, and a more lo-fi recording frames their four tracks in an early punk scenario, thanks also to the gritty voice and very minimal riffs as can be noted in "Dreary guy" and "My dog". The sound from Turin is fast and aggressive, demonstrating how the best can be drawn from three chords without too many frills.
Punk and rock'n'roll merge in this split that introduces us to two bands perhaps not very well known but with good talent to be discovered.
