LA RECENSIONE

Well, here we are, after the last masterpiece by SD (1995), the definitive album by Mike Ness and company has been released. Concentration of anger, melancholy, melody, and Social Distortion sounds blended with the classic Rockabilly tradition that Ness has honed through his long experience. Ness's grief over the premature loss of the great Denis Dannel (guitarist) especially emerges in the spectacular Dont Take Me For Granted and Life Before You Die, a bittersweet mix of youthful memories that gives you goosebumps.

The overwhelming aggression of classic SD can be found particularly in the main track Reach For The Sky, a concentration of pure punk rock and "loud guitars", but in general, it remains in the background of all the tracks except for the grand ballad Angel's Wing. A definitive album for the beautiful losers, for lovers of memories, nostalgia, and roaring guitars, as well as beautiful motorcycles and leather jackets. Unmissable!
