THE REVIEW

And here’s the news: I’ve produced a new goregrind/grindcore album. This afternoon I had nothing better to do and the project’s name is “Slumber Basket In The Casket” and the track/album title is “Cake Blast”. Fifteen minutes and forty-six seconds of pure butchery and putridity. Naturally, this project has a playful and boisterous vibe, created exclusively to unleash total chaos, annihilate stereo systems, and massacre listeners’ ears.

Random palm muting follows fast sections in blast beat, with the classic two or three chords fired at the speed of light, and a “voice” that can’t even be called a voice—it’s just gurgling, screams, and profanities in pure goregrind fashion, with a sampled drum track that is an unbearable loop of sonic slaughter. When my mother heard it, she ran out of the house, and I don’t know if she’ll be back any time soon, out of fear of ever pressing play on this monstrous mess again.

A spit in the face of “serious” and avant-garde music. The important thing is to have fun. Like blowing up a cake.
