American stoner/doom metal band formed in the early 1990s, known for long-form heavy compositions such as Dopesmoker (Jerusalem) and the influential album Sleep's Holy Mountain. The band split in the late 1990s and later reunited for new releases and tours.

Core members include Al Cisneros (bass, vocals) and Matt Pike (guitar). Original drummer Chris Hakius played on early releases; Jason Roeder (Neurosis) has performed with the band in reunion/recording contexts. The band's landmark works include Volume One (debut), Sleep's Holy Mountain, Jerusalem/Dopesmoker, and the 2018 reunion album The Sciences.
