It's been a while since I've been waiting for this album to come out and here I am writing my review, starting by saying that I bought it yesterday and I've been listening to it non-stop!!! I have to say I like it very much...
The album starts with "Ghost", a ballad featuring Ian Astbury (The Cult) and Izzy Stradlin, a very engaging piece, with a very rock n' roll riff. It brings to mind the good old days of Slash and Izzy together in the Guns.. When they're together they do wonders, they are complementary, great!!! We continue with "Crucify The Dead", one of the most anticipated songs featuring the great Ozzy on vocals and Taylor Hawkins on drums, it's a really great song!!! Very Black Sabbath.... The third song is entrusted to Fergie "Beautiful Dangerous", a great vocal performance by the singer who proves suitable (as Slash himself has repeatedly said) for rock, well done! A very energetic song that would fit perfectly as a single... The chorus is instantly memorized.
It's time for "Back from Cali", the first of two songs featuring Myles Kennedy on vocals, one of the best singers around, in fact Slash chose him as the singer for the band that will tour the world to promote the album.. A song that reminds me of the Rolling Stones.. Great voice and very nice intro. "Promise" with Chris Cornell, also gets a thumbs up, I like it, I've been singing it since yesterday!!! The next one is "By The Sword", the first single featuring Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother on vocals, the more I listen to it the more I'm convinced it's a masterpiece... Very Zeppelin, nice riff, rhythm changes, a solo that only Slash and his trusty wah can deliver!!! Congratulations!!!
"Gotten" featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5 is a beautiful ballad, slow yet very sweet, I really enjoyed the solo.. We arrive at the fastest, heaviest track of the album "Doctor Alibi" featuring Lemmy, well, what can I say! very very HARD ROCK!!! "Watch This Dave" features Duff McKagan and Dave Grohl... My favorite rock stars!!! It's an instrumental where the three big names have a lot of fun. "I Hold On" featuring Kid Rock, a noteworthy solo and a rhythm that reminds a lot of the singer's latest releases. "Nothing To Say" is amazing!!! A song that Slash could never have written either with the Guns or with the Revolver, because it's metal!!! The singer M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold offers a great performance, the solo is memorable... So nice that it's fast... Great Slash!!! We come to the second outing of Myles Kennedy "Starlight", a masterpiece... Goosebumps intro, solo, and voice!!! Wow!!! Just for this song, it's worth buying the album... "Saints Of A Sinner Too" featuring Rocco DeLuca, great work done by Slash on the arrangements, acoustic guitars intertwine accompanied by a unique voice... The whole thing closes with "We're All Gonna Die" featuring Iggy Pop, a nice, catchy, and memorable piece, great Iggy, who also indulges in some laughter!!!
Summing up, I can say that in my opinion, it is one of the best albums I have ever listened to, the album's strong point (I want to emphasize this is my opinion...) is the diversity of the songs, Slash could easily have given us another album (see Velvet Revolver) all riffs and solos, which to be sure are always high-level, worthy but which failed to stand out for originality... It seems to me that Slash has instead done a great job and has shown himself to be a great guitarist (if he still had to prove it....), since from a guitar perspective it's a perfect album, he got nothing wrong.. An original album, no weak points!!! we really needed a breath of fresh air!!! Too bad if the Guns won't reunite... If Slash continues like this, we'll be satisfied!!!
Passed with flying colors... He has shown himself to be one of the greatest composers around... Perhaps the best in the last 30 years... Again congratulations!!!!
The best Slash since the post-Guns...
STILL GREAT!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised.
The numerous guests steal the scene from Slash, making the album seem like a simple compilation composed by Rock scene stars.

Slash manages to relaunch himself into the rock Olympus, and the subsequent live performances will confirm it.
The secret of a great album like this lies precisely in being able to shape such different styles and to produce good music from them.
