ATTENTION!!!

This is my first review and I'm going to review a record that's hard to describe and present because it's one of a kind. The Skyforger are five amazing Lithuanian musicians who know how to blend Black metal with folk. This whole mix turns out to be as effective as it is interesting and very pleasant to listen to, of course, the album is sung in their native language.

The album opens very aggressively with the title track "Latviesu Strelnieki", the song is very enigmatic because it starts with soldiers singing a military song in their native language and after a minute, the powerful guitars and drums make way for a song that's too beautiful to be described!! However, Skyforger is not just any band, and the following song "Kauja pje Pakaviem, Kauja pje Vesiem" is a song that at the beginning blends the sweet flutes of Lithuania with the melodic guitars of aggressive black metal just right. The third song "1916. Gada marts" did not impress me much, nor did the fourth "Naves Sala", I was about to throw the album in the trash when with "Sesas Arprata dienas" Skyforger rose again and unleashed all of their most engaging metal and the same goes for "Tirela Purva" and the wonderful "Esat ka viri."

However, this fun Lithuanian quintet wants to impress even more and does so with the last song "Dzives vismelnaka stunda", a spectacular song with which closes the album of the new millennium by Skyforger.

AMAZING!!!!
