THE REVIEW

While rummaging through my discography searching for a certain Hell Awaits, which a new friend of mine who is just getting into metal asked me for to properly smash his head against the wall, I stumbled upon this little EP that my cousin gave me saying she liked the cover but not the content.

After putting it in the player, I encountered a band that plays good Industrial Black Metal, very powerful and quite dark and minimal due to certain elements. The band in question is called Skiltron N.V. 101; it's a strange but interesting group, formed by only two people: a Greek, Necrotormentor, who plays all the instruments and a Brazilian, Vlad D'Hades, with a past in Spell Forest, who sings. And the interesting thing is that each did their part while staying at home, meaning the vocal parts were recorded in Brazil and the instrumental ones in Greece.

The result is still good; the 4 tracks breeze by airy yet direct, extreme, and thoughtful; the vocals remind me a bit of Blacklodge and it's also possible to draw a comparison with the French band. I hope this project continues, as I liked the EP and I love those who experiment. A scene that is increasingly growing is that of Cyber/Experimental Black Metal, slowly alongside those who have always clung to roots and tradition, there are those who with a bit of creativity decide to create something and try to change things up. Thank goodness.
