The beautiful version of "El Vals del Obrero." This is evident from numerous listens, starting with the opening song Cìrco Ibèrico, which contains interludes from El Gàto Lopez, copied exactly as they are. It seems that Ska-P, aided by the considerable success achieved with the first album, wanted to continue down that path. The result is a pleasant album that can be listened to without any problems.
The ska proposed in "Eurosis" is (fortunately) cleaned up from the horrible distorted guitars of "El Vals del Obrero": it has a much more core accent, and even though the punk influence is not yet felt (which will come only in "Planeta Eskoria"), there is a noticeable improvement in the rhythm setting. Strangely, "Eurosis" (1998) will not receive the same recognition as the previous album, and the band itself will hold this work in little regard. It will be the song "Paramilitar," with its wild ska-core, that will become the spokesperson for the entire album and will quickly become an anthem of rebellion in Latin America (the only continent where the album was successful). In almost all the other songs, new mixes of rhythms are experimented with: "Villancìco," an open critique of the Catholic Church, will present a mediocre ska-rock, "Espana va bien," a direct attack on the Spanish government, will offer a very Spanish-sounding ska-fiesta (Joxemi's banjo is the protagonist instrument). Worthy of note, however, is the energetic "Simpàtico Holgazàn," a track of jamaican-ska with a frenetic folk interval. "Kèmalo" is perhaps the best piece of the entire album, thanks to its very angry ska-core. "Poder p'al Pueblo" is an old Spanish ballad on accordion, obviously not sung... followed by the amusing "Juan sin Tierra" in folk-core and the mediocre "Kacìkes." They will close with an echoing "!!America Latina Libre!!", the explosive "Al Turron," and the final masterpiece, the slow "Seguimos en Pie," a desperate cry for resistance.
Overall, a complete album and objectively of good quality. What is certain is that it is not worth what it costs.
