Perhaps not well-known to most, the Sinclear are to be counted among the longest-standing acts in the national punk-rock scene, given their activity from '99 to today. A career similar to many, made of good productions, passion, the desire to challenge themselves, and a significant number of kilometers traveled across the country and beyond. Three years after “Nothing Ever Happens,” here they are returning with their third record, titled “From Low To Loud,” produced at the Blasting Room Studios in Colorado. The final result catapults the band into a dimension that is in some ways new, with a care and professionalism applied to each track that surpasses that of the past.

The experience acquired after years of hard work has greatly benefited the Novara group, always direct in their sharp lyrics and skillful in putting together an enjoyable album for those who love old-school punk-rock. Their determination to reach out to international territories is especially evident from the choice to work entirely in English, giving even more depth to well-developed tracks. The frontal attack of “Nice To Meth You” and “Nothing To Me” is enough to understand how much the Sinclear have grown, with offbeat guitars and a rhythm section of substantial weight. The stylistic references are the most classic; one could mention Rancid, Propagandhi, and Against Me! regarding the sound, while the Italian hardcore-punk scene of the '80s has certainly influenced the band members significantly, particularly in their vocal approach. The appeal of this album is also in that underlying rock vein that continues to pulse, bringing freshness and novelty to songs otherwise rooted too deeply in their genre.

The work done in the American studios has certainly invigorated everything, providing even more clarity and brilliance to sounds already flawless on their own. The groundwork to create something good is all there, now it’s up to Sinclear to proceed in the right way to go beyond this sad nation called Italy.
