"Our Secrets Are The Same" is the phantom album of Simple Minds! It was supposed to be released in 2000, but disputes with Virgin led the band to terminate the contract with the label and go to court for having given a copy of the unreleased CD to a Spanish radio station.
Therefore, one has to wait until 2004 to officially release this album, which is included in the "Silver Box".
In this album, Simple Minds return to being a duo (Kerr-Burchill) and are supported by Mark Kerr (Jim's younger brother) on drums and Eddie Duffy on bass.
The album is very intimate and based on a very essential rhythm, with a guitar providing background that creates beautiful carpets of riffs and melody, and Kerr's voice sometimes heavily affected.
The album flows light and fast in its aforementioned intimacy, starting from "Swimming Towards The Sun", then moving on to "Jeweller To The Stars" and "Space", reaching "Waiting At The End Of The World" and closing with "Hello", "Happy Is The Man", and "Sleeping".
