Second single for singer-songwriter Simone Barotti, accompanied by a corresponding video, "Invidia" is an indecisive rock song. The track, although shamelessly catchy, never seems to open up except for a brief hint of a special that does not take off. The lyrics are interesting, expressing the singer's irrepressible desire not to succumb and not to be bent by such a devastating emotion " ...look, I return my dreams and you dance, because everything is liquid and you are a glutton for red wine..." the lyrics say. The video is a short and well-executed thrilling thriller with the protagonist fleeing from his dark side in a rather evocative setting made of caves and tunnels. Some scenes seem to solely highlight Simone's pretty face. Among hooded characters and escapes through more or less improbable tunnels, the song flows rapidly nonetheless, leaving the chorus in your head with notable force.
