THE REVIEW

I couldn't help but notice that one of the latest reviews I've read on Debaser is about this record, or rather an EP. I got the opportunity to experience the young (??) Roman songwriter artistically just last night in a theatrical performance here in Naples (my hometown), where the rearranged tracks from the record accompanied texts by Marquez. The show is called "il cuore ha più stanze di un bordello". There's nothing to complain about regarding the performance or the artistic abilities of the young Roman guy... but why didn't he use the arrangements from the show in the record? I listened to the "real" versions on YouTube and they noticeably lose their effectiveness. The only strong track is Il Cerchio, which gives the work its title. Aside from that, he is capable. A good author and performer.

The review examines Simone Barotti's EP Il Cerchio and highlights his artistic talents showcased in a live theatrical performance featuring Marquez texts. While the live arrangements impressed the reviewer, the recorded EP versions felt less effective, with only the title track standing out. Despite some production shortcomings, Barotti is regarded as a capable author and performer.
