LA RECENSIONE

Dating back to 1996, this album is one of the best by the great Colombian artist.

Right from the title, you can understand much about Shakira's character, a true intellectual: she questions where the thieves are who stole, at the airport, a suitcase containing the scores and demos for a new album... but she also alludes to the rampant corruption in Colombia. It is well known that Shakira does everything for her country, starting with the "Pies Descalzos" foundation in favor of Colombian children.

But let's return to the album, whose tracklist features songs in Spanish with Arabic sounds ("Ojos así"), a good rock ("Si te vas"), bachata ("Moscas en la casa") and the wonderful "Octavo día", where Shakira talks about the eighth day from the beginning of Creation, when God sees the infernal mess in which the world has sunk.

Tracklist: "Ciega, sordomuda; Si te vas; Moscas en la casa; No creo; Inevitable; Octavo día; Que vuelvas; Tú; Donde están los ladrones; Sombra de ti; Ojos así".

This wonderful album has won 8 platinum records in the USA, 5 in Argentina, 3 in Colombia and Chile, 2 in Mexico, and 1 in Spain. In my opinion, it is splendid, the artist's vocal ability ranges from low to high tones with dexterity...

Absolutely not to be missed!!!
