There are many definitions to judge this album. Some simply say it's insanely terrible (and in a way, it's true...), others just start moshing to their songs (often without even knowing which band is playing the track), and others like me who can't mind their own business and go check out this album on Cogumelo Records, which piques their interest. I'd like to talk about this band that, in my opinion, plays quite well, and personally, I really liked them. Of course, they are centuries away from the harshness of bands like Mayhem, Darkthrone, Emperor, Burzum, etc., and this album has much more to do with death metal than with black metal.

The orgy opens with the song/intro "Psychoneurosis", which with its purely infernal and majestic beginning drags the listener into this hell, as if the music takes them underground to start making them go through all the circles of Dante's inferno (which is the album in question). The first part of the song is slow, almost doom, the second truly infernal in its extremely violent progress, indebted to the most extreme thrash, but also the more classic one, in turn indebted to speed metal. It's worth mentioning that this album marked a detachment that might not be significant but definitely important, namely the birth of modern growl; in fact, on this album, the growl has little in common with the growl of the mid/late 80s (so echoes, evil laughter, etc.). "Delirium Tremens" is a rather violent and fast song, nothing special though despite its brutality it falls into the boring. "The Insatiable Pleasure of Delight" has a terrifying start, then bursts into super-fast blast beats and thrash riffs to the umpteenth power. All the songs are quite similar, but in my opinion, the songs that really deserve to be heard are definitely "Seduced by Devil", "Alcohol Mosh", and "Sadistic Screams" (with the final vomit).

In my opinion, they're not a band to be taken lightly (because one risks neglecting them altogether), but neither to be idolized. Honestly, despite being somewhat crappy, I prefer them far more to many other bands. But in the end, just look at the photos of this band to understand how far they go, with 10 cm nails scattered all over their leather-clad bodies and an almost serious look like "go to hell," but it's youthful narcissism, the same of someone releasing their first album wanting to conquer the world, being as obscene as possible, and obviously feeling hot-blooded, which in my opinion makes them better than all those bands like Impaled Nazarene and Gorerotted (who are still pleasant bands) that in interviews do nothing but talk about coupling over coupling. I liked them and obviously, there's not much else to say about them, and maybe it's better this way because they're worth discovering for those who love headbanging and bands that are fierce like few others, fierce, violent, with no half measures.

PS: The only news worth mentioning is the death of the singer Oswald "Pussy Ripper" Scheid, if I'm not mistaken, in a car accident.
