The Profile

Severe Torture is a Dutch brutal death metal band formed in 1997. They debuted with Feasting on Blood (2000), followed by Misanthropic Carnage (2002), Fall of the Despised (2005), Sworn Vengeance (2007) and Slaughtered (2010). They returned with the EP Fisting the Sockets (2021) and the album Torn From The Jaws Of Death (2024).

Style: old-school brutal death metal with gore- and blasphemy-laced lyrics, blasting drums and low growls; frequently compared to Cannibal Corpse, with nods to Morbid Angel and Deicide.
