LA RECENSIONE

Hi Ben, where are you right now and how are you doing?
*Hello. I am at home in London and I'm doing very well thank you.

Can you tell us shortly when and how the band did get started?
I wanted to form another band about 4 years ago and found Darryn at a party, we searched high and low together for a couple of years and here we are with Serafin.

Who are the bands who influenced Serafin most and your all time heroes?
Because we're all different ages and from different countries we really don't have a band favourite. Although we do all have superb taste in music (apart from Ronnie really liking the Darkness) and so share a love of the greats from Tom Waits to Aphex Twin, from The Stooges to Nina Simone. There are too many great musicians and bands to mention.

Your live show is gigantic. Do you think it's possible to record that energy in the studio?
No I don't think it is. In my mind the two things are a different art altogether, you could compare it to writing a play and performing it, they are just two different worlds. I wanna capture something else when recording. I think.

In the booklet of No Push Collide there's a reference to Aldous Huxley, Ape and Essence written in 1948. Are you scared by the actuality of his words?
---*Yes because this is the nature of man and it is hard to imagine that man will ever change.
