The Seefeel belong to a not-so-distant era when horizons were broader, and many things that seem impossible today felt within reach. A band that seemed to have a mission from which nothing and no one could distract them. A band that was already born complete, mature, and fully comfortable. It suffices to re-listen to this beautiful reissue of their debut album "Quique". No hesitation, the starting points are clear: the liquid guitars of MBV, but far from these inspirations is their endpoint.

The songs move according to their own laws, indifferent to the real world. They have no beginning, they only end because everything has an end, but ideally, they should continue forever. They are portions of infinite and eternal stellar music, they seem to have existed since time immemorial, from the origin of the universe. Seefeel merely picked these fragments of space sounds and offered us samples. The rock still present, latent or deviated from MBV, is definitively hollowed out from within, literally fleshed out thanks to the dubbing rhythms that make the songs sway upon themselves, indolent and lulling. The guitars reverberate sounds that repeat as if they weren't even human.

It is the triumph of weak thought. It is Kosmische Musik of the nineties, the ideal continuation of Harmonia's experiments. Clearly, discussing individual songs makes little sense, not even the length of the songs or the fact that with the extra CD of outtakes and alternative versions, it exceeds two hours of music. It makes no sense because Seefeel's music accepts no compromises, no noticeable drops or spectacular variations.

Either you’re in, or you’re out. If you're in, both CDs are fantastic. And time no longer matters.
