Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts

Musical Group

Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts were the backing band for Scott Weiland's final album Blaster. Scott Weiland (1967–2015) was an American singer best known as frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver; The Wildabouts recorded and toured behind Blaster in 2015.

Blaster was released on Softdrive Records (Weiland's label). Jeremy Brown, the band's lead guitarist, died the day before Blaster's release. Scott Weiland died in 2015.

A positive, nostalgic review praising Scott Weiland's voice and the Wildabouts' rock dynamics on Blaster. The record spans pop-leaning tracks and driving riffs, with Jeremy Brown's guitar singled out. The closing track Circles is highlighted as emotionally powerful. The album's release was shadowed by Brown's death the day before release.

For:Fans of Scott Weiland, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver and listeners of alternative/rock music.

Recording Blaster was invigorating and exciting. It reminded me of the mindset I had when the first two albums with the Stone Temple Pilots were released
