Helena Maria Faustina Kowalska (1905–1938), known as Saint Faustina, was a Polish Roman Catholic nun and mystic, author of the Diary of Divine Mercy. She promoted the Divine Mercy devotion and was canonized by Pope John Paul II in April 2000.
