Primo Victoria: as already stated in the description of Sabaton, this is the breakthrough album for Sabaton, the one from which the development of their content and style is derived.
Let's start with the main song, Primo Victoria: it embodies everything the album brings within itself, the development of content centered on a single event of war, in this case the D-day, and the style, the power of Joakim's voice and the heavy guitar lines, the clarity of the drum and keyboard sounds. Par Sundstrom himself has declared that this is the most important track in the entire Sabaton discography.
The continuation of the album is magnificent: very fast tracks full of energy alternate, exciting anyone who listens to them and bringing the images of war in front of our eyes with the perfectly fitting tones of Reign of Terror and Panzer Battalion, returning to the cadenced epicness of Wolfpack. We immediately start again with the double pedal and the guitar at full speed in Counterstrike, Stalingrad, perhaps the song left most behind but still good, and, most importantly, Into the Fire, etched into the creed of Sabaton for any fan. Then, we give space to strong and deep feelings with a tribute to the war veterans in Purple Heart. Finally, we arrive at Metal Machine, the first song dedicated to Metal itself, composed of titles from the most famous heavy metal groups of all time.
In essence, an excellent album, satisfying for every ear fascinated by power, a true launching pad for a group that presents itself to the music world in an aggressive and predominant, ambitious and energetic manner, rich in ideas and vitality.
