The Profile

Rusties are a Bergamo-based Italian rock/roots-rock band known first as a dedicated Neil Young & Crazy Horse tribute act and later for original albums in English and Italian. They issued the live set Live In Germany from a 2006 festival performance, then the original Move Along, and the Italian-language Dove osano i rapaci.

Active for eight years as of 2007 (i.e., since 1999). Performed at the 2006 Orange Blossom Festival in Beverungen, broadcast in the Rockpalast series; released Live In Germany from that set. Key members cited in reviews include Marco Grompi (vocals/guitars; also a music critic and author), Osvaldo Ardenghi/Arenghi (guitars), Dario Filippi (bass), Paolo Guerini (drums), Massimo Piccinelli (keyboards), Fulvio Monieri (bass), and Filippo Acquaviva (drums).

Rusties, an Italian rock/roots-rock band from Bergamo, built their name as a Neil Young & Crazy Horse tribute before releasing strong original material. Reviews praise the high live standard of Live In Germany (from their 2006 Rockpalast-televised festival set) and the songwriting and performances on Move Along and the Italian-language Dove osano i rapaci. The writing often tackles social themes, with tight musicianship and notable guests.
