German krautrock band from Aachen, active around 1970–1972, known for Weiss der Teufel (privately pressed debut) and Phallobst (1971, PILZ).

Weiß der Teufel was recorded in three days and privately pressed; Phallobst was released between July and August 1971 on PILZ (a BASF subsidiary) after an intended release on Ohr; the band disbanded in 1972.

Rufus Zuphall are presented as a German band blending krautrock, folk, blues and psychedelia. Their debut Weiss der Teufel was a quickly recorded, privately pressed release sought by collectors. Phallobst (1971) on PILZ shows greater maturity and better flute/guitar interplay. The group originated in Aachen and disbanded in 1972.

For:Fans of krautrock, psychedelic folk and collectors of rare German progressive rock.

A band with significant influences from German folk and psychedelia, with some references to Jethro Tull, they were innovative in their homeland, and we're in 1970.
