THE REVIEW

There are cases where the flaws of an album do not stem from the band's inability, but rather from the limitations of the musical genre itself.

"The Comfort Of Home" indeed fully fulfills its purpose and offers sixteen tracks of Pop/Punk "at his best," characterized by a consistently upbeat tempo (so no sappy ballads, as one might expect from a band of this genre).
From the opener (and first single released, with a clip that aired for some time even here in Italy) "Out Of Control" to the closing track "My Escape", the songs get stuck in your head within one, at most two listens (and this is a remarkable achievement even for Pop/Punk).
The mix between the perfect guitar riffs and the incredibly immediate choruses is explosive: the songs cling to you and force you to hit the repeat button repeatedly until you've worn it out (and worn out the song too).

And here comes the other side of the coin (or the record): a CD that takes so little time to be "digested" also requires an equally short period to be "excreted"... but this, as I already mentioned, is a problem of Pop/Punk in general.

Summary by Bot

Rufio's The Comfort of Home delivers sixteen tracks of upbeat, catchy pop/punk that easily sticks in your mind. The band's skill shines through explosive guitar riffs and instant choruses. While the genre's limitations mean the album is quickly absorbed and also quickly moved past, it remains a standout pop/punk release. The opener 'Out Of Control' and closer 'My Escape' highlight the album's lasting appeal.
