With her debut EP, "Pyroxene", Roxenne takes us on a cosmic journey. Released on November 27, 2023, the work of the multi-instrumentalist from Parma, Rebecca Magri, guides us through a soundscape that embraces hypnotic harmonies and vulnerable lyrics, offering us an intimate glimpse into her experiences.

The EP, preceded by the singles "Pyroxene" and "Supreme Soft Porn Meditation For Young Space Soldiers" (of which you can find nice videos on her YouTube channel), is a well-focused fusion of inspirations, from the hypnotic sound of the acid rock of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dead Meadow, Black Angels, and Band of Skulls, to the delicate voices of Lana Del Rey, Beth Gibbons or Fiona Apple.

Roxenne demonstrates her ability to translate her emotions into atmospheric soundscapes, supported by piercing guitars and frantic synthesizers. Her sweet and harmonious voice moves agilely over dreamy carpets, taking the listener deep into her psyche.

The singles "Pyroxene" and "Supreme Soft Porn Meditation For Young Space Soldiers" stand out for their sci-fi-inspired approach. Lush rhythms and melodies create a listening experience that travels through hyperspace. However, beneath the dreamy surface, introspective lyrics emerge that explore painful memories, as highlighted in the tracks "Savoir-faire" and "Chimismo". The latter delve into dark emotional territories, with dynamic instrumental parts that echo the best of Italian alternative rock.
