With this review, I begin my personal crusade called "the shames of Grindcore."
History has brought us into the 21st century, music has undergone its utmost extremization, yet someone tries to push beyond every limit, sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing by releasing truly insignificant albums; Rotten Sound, of course, fall into the latter example: I'll tell you explicitly.
This Album Sucks! Too little? Okay; then this album lacks originality, technical skill, and the lyrics no longer deal with subjects that, for better or worse, you could discuss, like satanism, politics, war; none of this, the lyrics talk about "dismemberments", a theme introduced by the much more imaginative Cannibal Corpse and Carcass. Social criticism is fine too, widely used in the lyrics.
The songs are all the same, "you could listen to the record endlessly without noticing," the structure of the tracks is almost homogeneous: ultra-distorted guitars abused on the sixth string, the drums, where you expect a blast beat, continue with their annoying marching, even slowing down. Noises that last only a few minutes, or even seconds, a Growl that can be considered adequate. And to think that the band photos are so well done that they give the illusion of a band like Coldplay.
An album hard to call such, and a useless band.
